Lorne Woods

Vice President

Facilites

Since joining MGT in 2007, Lorne Woods has worked with more than 150 districts on enrollment forecasting, residential development impact, school redistricting, grade reconfiguration, and GIS-driven community build-out research.

He helped open MGT’s Dallas office in 2013 and now leads a team supporting districts from Texas east to the Atlantic.

The districts that get this right are not just counting kids in seats. They are understanding the lifecycle of their communities, including which neighborhoods are generating students, which ones have aged out, and what new development is actually going to produce. That is the work.

Lorne also manages the technical side of MGT’s GIS platform, which is licensed by district personnel across 35 states. A big part of his work is helping planners who have never touched GIS get to the point where they are running their own analysis and making better decisions because of it.

If a district is navigating enrollment shifts, new development pressure, or needs data that holds up in a board room or bond referendum, Lorne can help.
