Dr. Marie Palano

Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Education | Seneca Valley School District

Dr. Marie Palano has served as an administrator in the Seneca Valley School District since 2011, holding leadership roles including middle school principal, Director of Analytics and Federal Programs, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Assessment, and currently Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Education. Her work has focused on expanding learning opportunities, leading data-informed initiatives, cultivating a culture of shared ownership, and advancing district efforts in the science of reading and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) through intervention systems and instructional practices designed to support all learners.

Dr. Palano earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Education from Mercyhurst University, a Master of Education in Reading Specialist from Slippery Rock University, a Principal Certification from Gannon University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from University of Pittsburgh.
