School climate and student achievement are directly related.
That is why MGT prioritizes school climate in our transformation process, offering solutions to the diverse challenges schools, and their students, encounter. By focusing on enhancing student achievement through improving school climate, understanding human behavior, and fostering trust, schools can create environments that promote equity, close achievement gaps, and inspire a love for learning.
Before beginning a climate partnership, MGT coaches meet on-site with administration and school leadership to build trust and shift the focus towards improving school climate. This initial engagement is followed by a comprehensive audit using the School Climate Assessment Instrument (SCAI), a federally accredited survey, to assess key performance indicators. MGT then collaborates with the school leadership team to craft a tailored plan, fostering adult engagement, student empowerment, and community involvement.
Signs of an Effective Climate
1. A Climate of High Expectations and Accountability
Ownership of student learning and well-being is shared across all levels with clear, results-driven expectations.
2. Whole Child Development
Students showing strong indicators of safety, well-being, and high participation in extracurriculars, supported by comprehensive social-emotional learning programs.
3. A Safe and Positive Environment
Students feel their identities are respected and affirmed through a collaborative learning environment with declining disciplinary issues and a supportive school culture.

Success Stories
The impact MGT and the Innovative Partnership Grant has had on Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy has really saved our school. Our biggest takeaway is all about alignment. All decisions are evaluated based on whether or not that decision aligns with our Mission Statement. It’s something the entire staff now understands, and we are a much better school because of it.
