Cassandra Pencek is a Program Manager with MGT. With over 20 years of experience in education, she excels in overseeing coaching teams and managing school and district partnerships. Cassandra holds a doctoral degree in educational leadership and an administrative license, focusing on empowering leaders through coaching, data analysis, evidence-based instruction, literacy walk-throughs, and aligning vision and goals. She has developed and facilitated professional development in the science of reading, leadership coaching, curriculum review, and district-level mapping. Cassandra is also a gym franchise partner with her husband and enjoys supporting her two boys in their sports activities.
Cassandra earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and a Master of Education in Reading from Slippery Rock University. She started her career as a kindergarten teacher in the Ft. LeBoeuf Area School District. In 2015, she received her K-12 Principal Certification from California University of Pennsylvania and began her administrative career as an assistant principal in the Seneca Valley School District, also serving as Title I Coordinator. She later worked as a middle school assistant principal and English Language Arts supervisor in the Fox Chapel Area School District. In 2019, Cassandra became the principal of Emily Brittain Community Partnership and Demonstration School in the Butler Area School District, focusing on community partnerships to meet student and family needs.
Cassandra has been a committee member for school initiatives in the Butler Area School District and a campaign leader for the Empowered School Program. She achieved high honors in her master’s program and successfully defended her doctoral dissertation in April 2020.
