A Trusted Partner For Your School Facility Needs

A comprehensive Long Range Facilities Maintenance Management Plan (LRFMMP) is indispensable for schools, providing a structured framework for addressing these pressing issues. By outlining systematic approaches to upkeep, repair, and resource management over extended periods, an LRFMMP ensures that facilities remain safe, functional, and conducive to learning amidst the challenges posed by aging infrastructure.

With over two-thirds of California’s public school buildings surpassing 25 years in age, the urgency for upkeep and modernization is palpable. Research indicates that one-third of schools have never undertaken any significant renovations. Among those that have completed major renovations, replacements, or additions, half report that it has been over 14 years since their last project.

Neglecting maintenance not only compromises safety but also impedes the integration of essential technologies crucial for effective learning, such as updated HVAC systems or modernized classroom environments.

For instance, outdated electrical wiring may not support the power demands of new educational technology, hindering students’ access to digital learning resources.

Choosing the right team for maintenance management is crucial. The EH&A/MGT Education team specializes in crafting and implementing LRFMMPs tailored to the unique needs of school districts. With expertise in facility assessment, maintenance prioritization, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement, we enable districts to transition from reactive to proactive maintenance strategies.
