Carrie Miller is a Vice President with MGT in their Education Solutions Group. Since beginning this work in 2015, Carrie has partnered with over 150 schools in Illinois, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Texas, and Utah. Her work is focused on teacher efficacy as she assists principals and central office leaders in creating the conditions necessary for consistent student learning and growth. Carrie infuses 12 years of teaching and school leadership experience with ongoing research and her Six Sigma certification, to share reliable recommendations to school and district partners. Her experience is diverse, having taught thousands of students in a variety of school formats, including rural, urban, Title I, and independent schools. She has experience with a broad spectrum of student needs, ranging from developmental reading to Advanced Placement instruction. At her core, Carrie is a teacher’s teacher, proud to have received teaching awards from both a large suburban district in Colorado and a K-12 independent school in the Pacific Northwest. She has served in many leadership positions, notably as a Fellow for Aspiring School Leaders, where she honed her skills solving challenging problems related to student social and emotional development.
Carrie earned her doctorate from Johns Hopkins University, where she explored how teachers can engage in collaborative lesson study to improve graduation rates for students who identify Navajo. She earned a master’s degree in education from Pacific University in Portland, Oregon. She holds bachelor’s degrees in English Literature from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, and French from the University of Burgundy in Dijon, France.
